Insight Psychological Therapists - Emily Couture

Emily Couture, Registered Provisional Psychologist, MACP, (She/Her)

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and work from the viewpoint that people are inherently capable. It is through this capability that client strengths can be appreciated, explored, and utilized to create positive changes. Working from an eclectic approach, I ensure to tailor my methods to suit each client’s unique needs and experiences.

More About Emily Couture

I firmly believe in the importance of building and maintaining a therapeutic relationship in which clients are provided a non-judgmental, empathetic, and authentic environment to explore and navigate their own experiences.

Prior to completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I worked extensively with children and youth in foster care, group care, and residential treatment facility settings. I am passionate about children, adolescents, parents, caregivers and the unique experiences they face. I have considerable experience providing care and support to children and adolescents and hold a child-centered play therapy certificate with neurorelational emphasis.
