Holly Billingsley, Practicum Intern Therapist, BA, MACP Student (She/Her)
I am a student therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s many challenges. I have experience working with a variety of clients, including youth, adults, and families. My primary approach is anchored in creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you may explore experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you build mastery through utilizing your strengths and resources. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, and I tailor my work to meet your unique personalized goals.
*NOTE: Our Practicum Intern (Student) Therapists offer reduced rates for counselling support. Please be aware that FEES WILL BE NON-REIMBURSABLE by Extended Health Care Benefit Plans.
More About Holly Billingsley
My goal as a therapist is to help you develop coping skills to better manage difficult situations and work towards lasting change. I am committed to building a trusting therapeutic relationship and providing the support you need as you navigate through life’s ups and downs.
I have experience working with individuals of various ages and backgrounds. As a current youth and family worker, I have experience meeting clients where they are at while they are experiencing difficult situations. This work has heightened my interest in working with and understanding trauma and helping individuals through moments of crisis. Within this role I have gained knowledge on working with youth, adults, and families altogether.
My approach is grounded in the belief that each person can see meaningful changes in their lives. I use methods in line with Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
If you’re ready to start this journey, I am here to help. I look forward to working with you and supporting your growth.
A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS:
What are you most passionate about?
I am extraordinarily passionate about caring for mental health. I believe that mental health needs to be taken care of with the same effort given to caring for physical health-by giving ourselves grace, taking time for ourselves when needed, and making time to see supports as necessary.
What do you think the world needs more of?
The world needs more kindness. Each of us have unique circumstances and struggles that most people are largely unaware of. Being kind to each other can make the biggest difference.
