Individuals working in a high-intensity or high-risk profession such as the following are more susceptible to issues such as severe stress, burnout, and PTSD due to their regular and prolonged exposure to occupational hazards that directly impact their mental health. As such, it is important to have psychological injury prevention and wellness maintenance measures in place as well as support from clinicians with specialized training, lived experience, and/or expertise in the specific professions and their unique work culture, beyond what may be provided by most EFAP.

Psychological illnesses, disorders, strains, or injuries can, if left untreated or inadequately treated, debilitate an employee’s capacity to perform optimally and to remain productive. Basic short term mental health support though one’s EFAP may not be adequate to help these employees properly address their conditions or difficulties. As a result, their condition can continue to deteriorate despite the fact that they might have gotten basic help. Advanced or specialized training in the specific areas of concern or alternative treatments may be required to properly support the employees’ recovery.

Each therapist at Insight Psychological is committed to advancing their training and expertise in one or more areas of specialty. As such, our diverse team of therapists have a broad range of specialized training and expertise as well as can apply a broad range of treatment methods in working with the different issues and needs above. In addition, Insight offers alternative specialized treatments such as Ketamine Assisted Therapy, Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy, and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for clients who may seek or get better results from them.

We can be there for your employees who need the extra, advanced, or specialized support, often without the employer having to allocate any additional financial resources to the services. To learn more about our specialized counselling and other treatments, please click HERE.
